The Signal State

The Signal State combines a puzzle game and an adventure game. The indie title offers gameplay unusual for these genres. It is built on the manipulation of signals through a modular synthesizer. The single player campaign consists of 40 puzzles. You can also compete with other users for a place on the leaderboard.

The project is made in a post-apocalyptic setting. The Signal State takes place on an abandoned farm. The goal of the game is to restart production and save people from starvation. To fix all the electronics, you will have to figure out routing and other aspects. Puzzles require users to use mathematics and logic.

An indie product allows you to customize the interface for yourself. There is a rich palette of colors and 3 design options to choose from. The gameplay is built around dragging unique modules and special cables across the field. With their help you need to control incoming signals. For example: they may be asked to add up. To complete the task, you need to correctly arrange the components, which change the properties in different ways. For example, they change the value from positive to negative. And then you need to conduct a test run to understand whether everything was done correctly and, if necessary, make adjustments. If the linear oscillation behaves as expected, then the puzzle is solved. As you progress, the number of different components increases.
