The Classrooms – is a retro-styled psychological indie survival horror with a first-person view and a VHS filter overlaid on the screen. The project stands out for its procedural level generation. They are liminal spaces. The map is re-created with each new playthrough. According to the developers, their creation can generate billions of possible variations. The point of the gameplay is to explore the entities that inhabit the stages. They all have unique properties and mechanics. Information about creatures and phenomena is entered into the codex, as well as other useful data. The indie game has an inventory. It stores found keys, obtained items and equipment.

The action of the game Classrooms, as its name suggests, takes place inside a school. The events shown in it unfold in 1996. One day, Robert Chen’s younger sister disappears. Other students also disappear. The man took a video camera and went to the educational institution where the children studied to investigate their disappearance. When the hero went inside, he soon realized that he had gotten into a labyrinth of corridors and classrooms. These rooms are home to anomalies. Some are harmless and just look strange, while others pose a serious danger. The protagonist can walk, swim, pick up, use and throw things, turn on a flashlight, interact with the environment, and peek out from around corners.
