Gearshifters

Gearshifters combines action, combat racing and a simplified roguelike. The game has a top-down camera, but the graphics are 3D. The action takes place in 2060 in a dystopian Europe. Its territory is divided between gangs. The hero works as a courier and tries to get to the mysterious Citadel. The plot is presented using cut scenes from pictures. There are 3 modes: arcade, standard, deadly.

The gameplay in Gearshifters resembles scrolling shooters. The screen moves independently from left to right. And the user moves his car in different directions within it. The user takes orders for cargo delivery. To complete the tasks, you need to drive through several stages. Most often, the path lies through zones controlled by bandits. Various groups are trying to destroy the player. The routes are randomly generated. The order in which enemies appear on the road also changes each time.

Here you have to fight a lot with enemy cars. They can be rammed and destroyed with weapons. As you progress, the gamer earns money. You can use it to improve your current car or buy a new one, get additional weapons, and acquire special skills. For example: the ability to turn around sharply and, moving backwards, shoot your pursuers. There are about 100 upgrades in the game. There are boss battles. You need to choose your own tactics for each leader. Gradually, the user expands the sphere of influence and opens routes. There are 9 biomes and 27 levels in total.
