At the start, players will choose one character to play through the story campaign. You have to pump up and improve the hero, gaining experience for completing quests or destroying opponents in combat situations.

The game Sovereign Syndicate implements a Tarot card layout system, which introduces randomness into the events taking place. Users have to think through and choose their lines during dialogues, as well as take into account the perception factor from other NPCs.
