Rusty’s Retirement invites players to engage in farming on the go. Designed as a project for idlers, it allows you to manage a virtual farm while doing other things. Gamers take on the role of Rusty, a retired robot who tends to his crops. The game develops automatically: Rusty plants, waters and harvests crops without constant player intervention. As you progress, you can discover new cultures, adding variety to your virtual fields. Biofuel production is also presented. Harvest can be turned into clean biofuel, which powers robots and can be sold to other machines for in-game currency. This currency allows players to expand their farm and purchase improvements.

For those who want a more hands-on experience, the game offers robot assistants. These customizable assistants can automate tasks such as planting and harvesting, increasing farm efficiency. At Rusty’s Retirement, convenience comes first. The interface is designed to be unobtrusive and take up minimal screen space. Gamers can zoom in and out to see better, or activate «focus mode» to slow down the growing process and stay focused on their work. There is a vertical mode that allows you to control the farm from the side of the screen. For streamers, the game integrates with Twitch, allowing viewers to participate in the construction of the site. Using chat commands, viewers can direct robots to perform specific tasks, adding a layer of interaction between streamers and their audience.
