IN Myst the user finds himself on a mysterious island, about which almost nothing is known. And it is the main character who will have to unravel the mystery of this place, passing through numerous locations and solving a number of puzzles. Each puzzle will lift the veil of secrecy, allowing you to learn about what happened here before, as well as reveal details of the plot. The essence of the gameplay is to move in the indicated direction and solve current puzzles. Most of them involve moving objects from point A to point B, changing the order of placement, or using small parts for larger objects.

Each time, the system in Myst offers different tasks, which means that gamers will not encounter two absolutely identical puzzles. For example, in one of the starting rooms you need to find a hidden lever that will open a door in the wall, and after that, activate the keys on the panel in the required sequence to also open the passage. Due to the specific design style, it is difficult to determine in what time period the game takes place. There are both airships and large old-style ships here. Of course, they serve as decoration, however, it effectively complements the environment. As for the plot, it is presented through notes and documents. Particularly notable are the diary pages that can be found in locations. At the same time, you can only have one page in your inventory, so after reading it, you will have to throw it away in order to be able to take another one further along the path.
