Heretic’s Fork

Heretic’s Fork is a not quite standard bagel with two-dimensional pixel graphics and a top-down view. The indie project crosses a collectible card game with a tower defense game. The action takes place in the underworld. Holes in space began to appear there, allowing them to move to Earth. The heretics wanted to take advantage of this to escape to the world of the living. However, the local demonic inhabitants decided to stop them. The player is invited to choose a demon and build a monstrous obelisk on the site of one of these faults. This monument must then be turned into a killing machine to prevent sinners from escaping from hell. There is also meta-progression here. With each race the gamer becomes stronger.

The gameplay in the video game Heretic’s Fork takes place in real time. The gameplay is as follows. In the center of the field there is a tower, towards which creatures are rushing from all sides. The user must upgrade the defensive structure so that it kills them as effectively as possible. When these creatures are destroyed, a special blood meter is filled. As soon as the scale becomes full, the user, along with the favor of the gods, receives cards (some of them enter into synergy with each other) from his deck. Its contents can be improved. Using these cards (new varieties are revealed over time), you can activate sacred artifacts, add sections, create garrisons, and so on.
