EMPYRE: Dukes of the Far Frontier

EMPYRE: Dukes of the Far Frontier may be of interest to fans of steampunk. The video game mixes science fiction with a western. The action takes place in an alternative historical period. Namely, during the neo-Victorian Wild West. Much of America suffers from various disasters – from floods to the emergence of plants that can turn people into zombies. You can escape from these misfortunes in a city built on the tops of columns created by mekanicals (as robots are called here). To get into an elite metropolis, you need to have a ticket. And it is precisely this that the protagonist loses at the very beginning of his adventures. Soon after this, he gets into another scrape and is hunted. The plot is divided into acts.

EMPYRE: Dukes of the Far Frontier is the sequel to Lords of The Sea Gates. Like the first part, the sequel belongs to the RPG genre. The indie project has an isometric view, but the camera can be rotated. The character editor allows you to choose gender and profession, customize your appearance, distribute points among 6 characteristics, and select perks. What is noteworthy is that for every positive trait you should always take one negative trait. Location exploration takes place in real time. As you progress, other travelers join the hero. A team can consist of a maximum of six people. They can be given orders in battles. When the main character collides with opponents, a partially turn-based battle begins in the same place. The battles themselves are real-time, but when orders are given to units, the game is paused, and the ground is covered with a grid. In this tactical mode, you can program your fighters by queuing up different actions.
